The world famous Big5 Backpackers is an establishment built from stone and thatch. It offers three dorm sleeping 10, 6 or 8 persons respectively. Private and ensuite rooms are cosy and clean. Our fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal 24 hrs/pd. Big 5 overlooks Kruger and surrounding tribal areas.
The large verandah is hugged by indigenous bush and if you are lucky you may see mongoose or even a duiker. We offer hot, clean showers and do meals on request. Big 5 safaris depart daily and we pick you up at any hostel in the surrounding areas. You get to choose if you would like to stay for 1, 2, 3 or more days and nights. Big 5 safaris are conducted in an open 4x4 game viewing vehicle and our accredited guide will show you all the marvels Kruger has to offer. Accommodation is in a tented bush camp in Kruger. Safaris includes all conservation fees, accommodation, three meals per day and transfer to/from your hostel.
How To get There
From Nelspruit take the R40 to White River. From there continue on the R40 towards Hazyview. Three kilometres after Hazyview Protea Hotel, on right side you’ll find Big 5. Look for the PINK sign.From Kruger Park take the R40 to White River, four kilometres on left side. Look for PINK sign.
