Cape Agulhas Backpackers is an experience of a lifetime and is located in the quiet (as quiet as you would like it to be) coastal village of Struisbaai, 400m from the famous 14 km unbroken beach in the Southern Hemisphere. This stretch of warm Indian ocean beach is one of South Africa’s kite boarding hot spots and one of the most remote beaches around. You have 14 km of swimming, running, jogging or taking endless strolls while watching whales and dolphins at play.
Here you will explore Cape Agulhas Backpackers, being described as a very nice little hotel with backpackers character and is only a stone throw away from the pubs, restaurants and town centre. We have en-suite doubles, self catering units, double rooms, family rooms and dorms.
All the rooms walk out from a veranda onto the tranquil garden with hammocks and a quiet place to chill out. We supply you of fresh linen (goose down duvets and feather pillows) and towels. We do laundry too, so don’t worry about a dirty load in your backpack, we will sort that out for you in no time.
From Cape Town follow the N2 to Caledon. Turn off throught the town of Caledon, Napier and Bredasdorp. Follow direction roadsigns to 'L'Agulhas - most Southern Tip in Africa' . 30Km from Bredasdorp, drive through the village of Struisbaai.
Struisbaai and L'Agulhas share a common boundary. When entering L'Agulhas there is a road sign indicating you have now arrived in the Southernmost Town in Africa.
