
Eco Wave Long Beach offers affordable budget accommodation in a modern and stylish two-story mansion in the heart of Kommetjie, a mere stones through from the beach. Whether you are back-packing across South Africa, in search of that perfect wave, or just want to relax on a budget in one of Cape Town 's and possibly South Africa's most beautiful areas, Eco Wave House is the place to stay. Apart from that quaint restaurants and pubs, a surf shop and a grocery store are all within a short stroll from the house.
The house is designed to offer guests a bright and friendly atmosphere with various balconies specifically designed to take advantage of the majestic views of the sea and the village. The house also has facilities for braais (barbeques) and a small garden to relax in. If you feel like cooking, two fully equipped kitchens are at the ready. In addition, the house offers a large living area fully equipped with TV, a pool table and comfortable couches. Unlimited internet usage is just 20 Rand per stay and a washing machine is available on request. The house offers 4-bed rooms, double and single rooms. All the rooms have modern and clean shared bathrooms.
At Eco Wave Long Beach we take responsible tourism seriously. Garbage reduction, reusing, recycling and the support of local community organizations are therefore an intricate part of our daily lives. We support the local community by encouraging guests to book a township tour by bicycle, which not only provides valuable income to the local community, but also provides you with an excellent opportunity to interact with the local community in a meaningful way.

Public Transport: There is a regular train that runs from Cape Town Main Station directly to Simons Town. From Simons Town you can either take a taxi or we can arrange a transport for you if you let us know in advance. It takes 20 minutes to get from Simons Town to Kommetjie.
To Kommetjie from the airport by car: Follow the signs to the highway N2 in direction to Cape Town Centre. Continue along the N2, until the gateway M3 to Muizenberg on the left side. Follow this highway and you will pass the University, Kirstenbosch and Constantia until the end of the highway. At the T-intersection, turn right in direction to the M64 "Ou Kaapse Weg". About 1 km further turn left onto 'Ou Kaapse Weg'. Along this mountain road you will pass the Silvermine Nature Reserve and Noordhoek. Once over the mountain the road becomes the M65 "Kommetjie Road". Continue on the M65 past Sun Valley and at the second set of traffic lights, turn right to Kommetjie. Continue straight and you will pass Masimumphele and Imhoff Farm until the end of Kommetjie. You will see a surf shop sign on the right and a grocery store on the left. Turn right at the surf shop sign into Sommerset Way and follow it for 100 metres until it becomes Gladioli Way/ Gladioliusweg at the right hand bend. You will find Eco Wave Long Beach at number 11 on the right side.
