Alan & Lorna warmly welcome you to Fat Pony – a family & biker friendly Riding School & Backpackers on the Cape Winelands outskirts.

Discover a peaceful haven just 30 minutes from Cape Town centre.
Leave the city hustle & bustle behind- camp on shady grass, near a dam with a resident chameleon & watch the birdlife.
Take it easy & rent a double en suite room or a bed in our en suite dorm.
Whether you are looking for peaceful relaxation or a fun activity- from Pony or Cycle Outrides to Wine Tasting & Township Tours- Fat Pony is the place to go. Join in a Pony Camp or Workshop. With a fun & friendly atmosphere; we have something for everyone & everyone is welcome!

Go self catering or let us take the hassle out of mealtimes with delicious, healthy packed lunches & home cooked meals made with vegetables from our organic garden. Enjoy an authentic taste of Punjabi cuisine in our Bollywood Restaurant with a stunning meal prepared by resident Punjabi Chef- Munir.

    -Dorm en suite- R120 per bed (sleeps 1-6)
    -Camping- electricity & ablutions- R60 per person (sleeps 1-20)
