Welcome to Gemini Backpackers Lodge Set in a large garden with a swimming pool and secure parking, Gemini has ample space and provides an island of calm in the bustling city. Available on the premises is a tennis court, pub, camping and two ladies’ dorms. One house accommodates independent travelers in comfortable rooms while a separate building with its own facilities sleeps groups of up to 120 people.
We provide pillows, linen and duvets and clean the rooms daily. We have hot showers available all day. There is a cozy winter fireplace and gym equipment available for your use.
We serve tasty meals and cater for vegetarians. We have a large outdoor kitchen where you can whip up your own food.
We have our own tour service on site with registered tour guides and arrange trips to the Apartheid Museum, Soweto, Lesedi, Gold Reef City, the Cradle of Humankind, the Lion and Rhino Park. Gemini specializes in overland tours and trips to the Kruger Park, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Zambia.
DIRECTIONS FROM THE JOHANNESBURG AIRPORT.
Go on the N3 highway to Pretoria. Take the Witbank off ramp not the Johannesburg when nearing Johannesburg. Travel on till you see the Modderfontein, Sandringham off ramp. Turn to the left, Pass the Edenvale Hospital on your left. 1st Robot below the Hospital turn right pass the filling station on your left.
Go down and carry on up the hill till you see a filling station on your right at this point turn left and then right there is a big building with the name of Mamoet opp the filling station. You are now in Van Gelder Road, we are half way in the block. You will see my sign at this point 1 Van Gelder Road.
