All our rooms are en-suite and the rate per day is R500.00 except our twin room that is R400.00
Emerald 1 and 2 special rate of R825.00 only as family discount rate.

We also offer self catering flats and our own Diggers Den Dormitory. We offer self-catering units equipped with a fridge, microwave, colour television, toaster etc. Hairdryers, laundry facilities, braaipacks and/or meals are available on request. Clean linen, towels, soap, coffee and tea.
Enjoy the sparkling swimming pool, BBQ (braai) facilities under the lapa, bauma, secure parking, DSTV, internet facilities or enjoy a game of pool whilst enjoying some cold refreshment from the bar. Telephone cards are also available for the card telephone.
Outside, our large garden has plenty of space for you to soak up some rays near our swimming pool. There is a lapa with a built in braai and bench tables to just sit and chat or enjoy a couple of cold beers under. We also have a great bonfire area (bauma) where you can enjoy the early (or late) evening. We let the mood and our guests decide whether it will be a lively or quiet night, either way we will do our best to ensure that you get
50% deposit required on booking.
An additional 5% handling fee will be charged on credit cards.

Directions to Greatbatch backpackers
From Cape Town follow the N12 (North bound) into town in Memorial road. At the 1st traffic light turn right into McDougal street and carry on to the T junction. Turn left into Oliver street and continue for 1km past shopping centre before turning right into Carrington road at the road sign “Memorial road area”. Continue over 2 stop streets. Cross the traffic light at Dutoitspan road, the road name changes to Egerton road. Greatbatch is the first house on the left hand side right next to the famous Halfway house.
From the airport follow the N 8 into town. It becomes Oliver road. Continue for 1 km past the shopping centre. Turn right into Carrington road at the road sign “Memorial road area”. Continue over 2 stop streets. Cross the traffic light at Dutoitspan road, the road name changes to Egerton road. Greatbatch is the first house on the left hand side right next to the famous Halfway hotel.
From Johannesburg follow the N12 (South bound) into town. It becomes Transvaal road. Continue following this road to the 3rd traffic light and turn left into Quinn street opposite Leon’s discount liquor. Follow this road, cross over a stop street and continue till the name changes to Dutoitspan road at the 2nd traffic light. Continue in Dutoitspan road over 2 traffic lights and turn left at the 3rd traffic light into Egerton road. Greatbatch is the first house on the left hand side right next to the famous Halfway hotel.
