Sabie Backpackers Lodge have been around for years and with all the little touches it proves that these guys have thought about your comfort - things like rock-solid bunks, en suite rooms and a heated swimming pool that’s just a beer’s throw from the bar.
Sabie Backpackers also run their own extreme adventures and tours with guides who offer excellent travel advice on Mpumalanga.
After an adrenaline-spiked day, relax in the great atmosphere and let the vibe roll on.
Our gate (which has an arch of wooden elephant tusks over it) is right opposite the main entrance of Sybrand van Niekerk High School.
From Johannesburg airport: go to Pretoria (R21). You go around Pretoria and take the N4 to Witbank. Stay on the N4 to Middelburg, Belfast. The road split : Take the Schoemanskloof road that goes left (72km). Then you get a T turn left towards Nelspruit. A few km's after the turn there will be a Sabie and Sudwala Caves turn left (R539). And then take the Sabie signs (it will turn right after -+15km and then a turn left again). 9km before Sabie there is another turn right. If the road turns to gravel you are wrong and if u go past the gate to Sudwala caves you are wrong, turn back. Once u are in Sabie (it is a very small town - don’t look away, u might mis us) : You get a T junction turn left towards Graskop. Past the Engen fuel station and we are 400m down the street on the right. Just lookout for the BIG elephant tusk gates !! We are in the main road going through Sabie.
