As one of the smallest countries in Africa, landlocked Swaziland is a relaxing stopover on the trip between Mozambique and South Africa. It is one of Africa's last remaining monarchies and the country has a surprising lot to offer in way of sightseeing. The royal ceremonies, excellent wildlife reserves for game viewing safaris and game drives and superb scenery are more than enough reason to visit here. Visitors have access to game viewing vehicles, and are free to roam the area on well marked guided or self guided hiking trails. Make sure you include a visit to the Hlane Royal National Park, where you'll get magnificent views of the herds of white rhino, as well as lions and antelopes. Also stop over at the Ezulwini and Malkerns Valleys, the former renowned for its picturesque scenery and the latter a great place to go shopping for beautiful handicrafts and curios.
